Our history

Hard work has always been a staple in the Musser Family. Like many families in our area, ours began in the fields, cow pastures and milking rooms of West Hempfield township. From sun up to sun down, the job needed to be completed. When the time came for founder Larry Musser to change careers, he did not look far from farming. His love of the outdoors and plants naturally led him to landscaping. 

Larry started Musser Landscapes in 1993 and has been serving the area for over 20 years. A pick up truck and hand tools were all he had. He built a reputation as an honest, knowledgeable and hard working contractor. His son and business partner, Andrew Musser, was only 13 years old when the business started. Andrew grew up on the farm and earned his first paychecks as a laborer in the business. While Andrew did not pursue landscaping after high school, he did return after becoming bored from 10 years of working in advertising. He missed the dirt, the sunshine and the rewards of hard work. Smiles on the faces of customers were more gratifying than anything advertising had to offer him. 

Larry and Andrew partnered and formed Musser Landscaping, LLC in 2014. The business is still based on hard work, honesty and knowledge. As the business grows, so does our team, and we share that collective passion for the outdoors and hard work within our team.
